What is Daily Gaelic (Gàidhlig Gach Latha)?
Daily Gaelic is a place for you to learn Scottish Gaelic in whatever way works best for you.
Daily Gaelic began with the e-mail courses, a Scottish Gaelic learning program for busy people and people who want to have daily exposure to Scottish Gaelic. Daily Gaelic now also has Skype based classes and private lessons with more learning opportunities coming soon.
Here is some more information on the e-mail learning courses
Each day you will be sent a link. That link will let you see and hear your Gaelic word of the day. You can look at and listen to the word as many times as you like, then the next day you will get a link to the next word. The words are then reviewed with more information given, building up your confidence and Gaelic knowledge.
The program comes in (mostly)* 6 week blocks where you study one aspect of the language such as nouns, adjectives or verbs or even learn a song.
All of the sessions are appropriate for beginner to intermediate learners as well as advanced learners that want to refresh their Gaelic skills. Sessions are designed to be independent, meaning you can do them in any order you want.
If you can't decide what order try doing nouns 1, adjectives 1, verbs 1, phrases 1 and then go to nouns 2 etc.
*Verb sessions are 8 weeks long to alow time to learn all the different verb tenses. Song sessions are four weeks long because learning the same song for six weeks would be too long.
